Alkaline Balance
First in importance in becoming Alkaline are vegetables. Because
they contain minerals and minerals are very alkalizing.
Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium are concentrated in green
vegetables. For Acid Alkalilne balance, you want to emphasize your
vegetables, especially the dark leafy greens. Suggested servings
of vegetables are 7 to 9 servings a day.
Use a variety of vegetables each day. Choose different colors
as well.
Even though the official diets say not to, I have found that
you can eat small servings of meat and fish (some people require
meat in their diet), even though they are acid forming. You just
emphasize the alkaline vegetables in your meals to give you a
more alkaline balance and keep using your litmus
paper to make sure you keep on track in your ph range.
