    Home Gardening

    Ahh, it is that time of year again. Everything is starting to bloom.

    I love to garden, when I have the time and the space. My long time readers have heard me speak about my flowers, gardening, etc. a number of times.

    My Grandfather came out from the Kansas dustbowl in the 1930’s with TB. He moved to Idaho when my mom was little and started growing plants for some of the surrounding farmers.

    Over the next couple of years he started building up larger garden plots and worked his way into having his own greenhouses.

    This led to him eventually being the local garden center for the surrounding communities. One of my uncles began to help him with this when he returned from the Second World War.

    I spent time off and on during my childhood playing out in the country or in those green houses and was awed and thrilled with the beauty and variety of flowers, trees and birds.

    It has never left me. I find working in the flowers and nature to be one of the most satisfying things I can do. It is also one of the biggest de stressers I have used. Problems just fall away for a time as I am in the moment.

    I hope you have your beautiful things that bring you joy as well. We all need it in the times we live in. If you don’t have something like this, I suggest that you look for a few things that change your state of mind for the better and do some of them daily. It is well worth it.
