    Menopause

    Menopause

We are all aging. For a woman, that means the time will come for the cesation of her menstral cycle. Other wise known as menopause.

It seems to me that more women are having problems making that transaction into menopause. Probably because of our high stress lifestyle and the havoc it causes on the adrenals. Many are in a fight or flight response to things nearly all the time.
I laugh at that saying " I have one nerve left, and you are getting on it" but for many it is true. The nerves are shot. Life is just plain stressful, if you don't do something about it.

There is a number of things to be done about this. If you are looking for some good books to guide you, why not stop over on my website and browse through the books on menopause and premenopause.

      Tooth Decay Prevention

      Tooth Decay Prevention

A survey in 2001 by the American Dental Association (ADA) showed that almost one in three adults clean their teeth using dental floss or interdental cleaners (brushes, picks or sticks to help clean between the teeth) once a day, and another 12 percent use these products twice or more daily.

About a quarter of adults reported that they floss or use interdental cleaners once a week or less, while 7 percent said they never use these products. Women (50 percent) are more likely than men (37 percent) to report cleaning their teeth with floss or interdental cleaners at least once a day.

Why is cleaning between your teeth so important? By flossing or using an interdental cleaner, you are removing decay causing plaque - the sticky film of bacteria that coats your teeth. While toothbrushing removes plaque from tooth surfaces, it can't do the entire job of removing plaque from between the teeth and under the gum line.

Tooth decay and periodontal (gum) disease often start in these areas, so it is very important to clean them thoroughly to prevent cavities and serious gum problems. Using the Hydrogen Peroxide and swishing it around helps to get clear this bacteria between the teeth and in the gums, as well.

A sign at my dentist says, “ You do not have to floss your teeth, Only do the ones you want to keep!” Most things are a habit. Start your Children doing this early and hopefully make this a life long habit. Us older ones, It is a good way to keep your teeth. And flossing helps remove the bacteria that causes decay so that we can keep the ones we have.
