    Urinary Tract Infections

    Urinary Tract Infections

There are three types of infection of the Urinary Tract:

    1. An infection of the urethra, the canal that transports
urine from the bladder and in males also serves as a genital
    duct.

    2. Cystitis is an infection of the urinary bladder, which
    stores urine.

    3. In addition, there is kidney infection, results when the
bacteria in the bladder migrate to the kidneys. If bacteria
get to the kidney, scarring can occur which over time can be
very destructive to its function. Scarred kidneys can contribute
to high blood pressure and/or lead to partial or complete failure,
    depending on the reason

Even before scientific studies were conducted on why and how herbs
worked, many people found herbs to be of great help in fighting
    urinary track infections.

One home remedy many people use is cranberry juice for urinary tract
infections. Some of the compounds in the juice block the bacteria
from sticking to the cells in the body, so that the body can more
    easily flush the bacteria out.
