Stress and Brainwave Entrainment

Stress creates havoc in the body. We all need to work
on our reactions to stress, whether it be good or bad
stress.

Stress increases the level of many hormones in the body
– including adrenaline. Adrenaline prepares the body for
fight or flight and part of these preparations is to
release glucose stores from the liver and muscles to be
used as immediate energy.

The problem is that modern day stress levels are not usually
induced by a physical threat. But often with high stress comes
the release of high levels of glucose. This can make it almost
impossible to control diabetes, unless stress is gotten under
control.

Take an Alternative Health Care Approach:

Something that I use to help deal with stress for myself and
others is Brainwave entrainment. This literally changes your
brainwave frequency, which can alter your stress. Check into
these: Brainwave Courses

Herbs For Menopause

Herbs For Menopause

One of the first symptoms most women see in
menopause is irregular or missed periods.

Menopause can be a tough time for some women. For
others, they sail through with out a problem, although
this seems to be getting rarer in the people I have
consulted with.

When menopause starts to occur, the estrogen and
progesterone levels, stimulated by the ovaries,
are decreased. This means that the ovaries no longer get the signal to release the egg.

When this happens, it means that a woman will often
notice a disruption in her normal monthly cycle. So
once menopause starts to occur, it is not uncommon
to experience disruptions in the monthly cycle.

Here are some symptoms often occuring during menopause:

Achy joints
Hot flashes
Problems in the ability to concentrate or recall
Changes in sexual desire
Extreme sweating
Headaches
Mood changes
Insomnia
Night sweats
PMS like symptoms

Alternative health care often includes changes in the
diet along with using herbs to help ease both the
symptoms and get to the cause, which is the hormone
levels. Take a look at MellowPause for the herbal help
that will assist you to lessen your Menopause symptoms.

Hayfever

Well, It appears that hayfever season is in full bloom
here on the Oregon Coast.

There is a riot of blooms - flowers, trees and shrubs.
I am particularly allergic to scotch broom. It has a
bright yellow flower that sends me into allergy asthma.

Hay fever is in fact a reaction of the upper respiratory
to anything that you are allergic to. The medical term for
hay fever is allergic rhinitis. With this you would have
symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, congestion and
sneezing.

I have several pages on allergies up on one of my sites.
If you have allergies or hayfever, be sure to read up on it. I have some alternative health care
suggestions there.

How To Prevent Kidney Stones

How To Prevent Kidney Stones

Water is the best and cheapest way to help prevent
kidney stones. You should drink 1 quart of water for
every 50 pounds of weight. So that would be 3 quarts
of water, if you weighed 150 pounds. It is especially
significant to drink lots of water if you have already
had kidney stones in the past.

Your doctor will need to tell you what types of foods
to avoid or cut back on depending on what type of kidney
stones you have. This will include both food and drink.

If you have calcium stones (the most common type), your
doctor may ask you to cut back on salt and sodium in your
food. Excessive sodium causes you to lose more calcium in
your urine.

An alternative health care program may also suggest some
herbs or homeopathics to aid your body to normalize.
