Healthy Eating

Healthy Eating

Just a gentle reminder for you today -

Have you noticed how sickly some children are now
days and that middle aged people have illnesses and
diseases that used to rarely seen except in aged people?

Much of it has to do with your diet. The majority of us
do not get enough minerals in our food. You need minerals
to build strong bodies and keep yourself healthy. You need
the enzymes in the raw foods as well, but we will leave that
discussion for another day.

When you don’t have a healthy eating diet, it may not show up
right away, but it will as time goes by. With children, their
mother may not have had good nutrition, so the child starts
out with sub clinical nutritional deficiencies.

It takes effort to be healthy and stay healthy. Don’t let
yourself be fooled. The easy route of fast food is not going to
build health.

We must eat correctly the majority of the time and take some
extra supplements now days to meet all of our nutritional needs.

I am not perfect; I do occasionally make a poor choice in what I
eat. I do however, focus on eating the best I can, with as much
organic produce as I can and some natural or organic meat.

I was a vegetarian for a while, but amino acid tests showed me that
I was not getting the protiens I needed from that kind of diet.
Vegetarian diet is not for everyone.

You don't need to go on some fancy diet, just eat healthy. It leaves
a lot of room for choice.

Make sure to get in plenty of fresh vegetables and some fruit.
These are full of the vitamins and minerals that you need to help
everything perform optimally. Most people do not eat enough
vegetables each day.

Stay away from the processed food. Don't buy it and don't bring it
home. If it is not on your shelves and in your refrigerator, you
won't reach for it.

Stay away from soda. Drinking a couple a day adds hundreds of
calories to your diet. It is also very acidic and sodas will cause
health
problems, including mineral loss.

Drink plenty of water. I suggest one quart of water to every 50
pounds of weight.

A note to those who are overweight -

Simply by cutting out the junk food and excess carbohydrates,
making sure you get enough exercise most days, and drinking
plenty of water, will cause the loss of a little bit of excess weight
each month for many people. Slow weight loss is good.

For those that drink sodas each day, just cutting that out
completely can help you lose a little weight each month. This
can add up to 15 or more pounds for a year, by just stopping
soda drinking.

Sound good? Get back on track. Eat healthy - your body will thank
you for it.

If your health has gone downhill to the point you need to do
something about it, I have some suggested some health guides that
will help.

Healthy Eating On A Budget

Grocery prices just keep rising. I picked up a
dozen organic eggs the other day and the highest
priced ones were $5.99.

I found some good information for you today
eating healthy on a budget. Many people think
they have to sacrifice good food, as the money
does not go as far. That may not be true, It is
just a matter of thinking out the foods that don't
cost as much, but are just as nutritious.

Healthy Eating As Prices Go Up?

As food prices continue to go up, how can
you continue to eat good nutritious food?
Healthy Eating is important, so let's go
over some ways.

Eat before you shop. Many people who are
hungry when shopping end up getting more
food than they have on their list or
started out to get. They then end up
not getting some of the things they need,
as the money just doesn't go far enough.

Write a list up. Figure out your meals and
see what you need before you leave home.
Shop for healthy, nutritious food when
you get to the store.

Use coupons. Sadly, there are not as many
coupons available to use at the grocery
store for healthy food, or organic food.
But there is some. Look in your paper, and
any magazines you get ahead of time.

Often you will find a coupon but don't need
it at that time. Hang on to it, those things
may go on sale in a few weeks, then you will
have a coupon ready. Again, concentrate on the
healthier foods to try out or get again.

Can you get a larger size of some things and
then break it up into serving sizes? These
can be frozen, or the bag closed and stored
in an appropriate place on your shelf or in
the fridge.

Give up a some of your not so good snack
foods and that will give you some change
to put towards the fruits and vegetables
you need to stay healthy.

Eat vegetarian style a few meals a week, if
you are not. Have beans and lentils. They are
inexpensive, but good for you. They provide
fiber and some protein.

Continue to eat the most healthy nutritious foods
you can. Your food, when nutritious, is your
building blocks for a healthy body in the future,
so don't skimp.

Healthy Eating

Healthy Eating

Many people know and even complain that they are
not eating very healthy, but don’t do much to start on
a healthier way of eating.

And it is not always easy. I read a recent Reuters Health
article that said that the price of fruits and vegetables went
up almost 20 percent over 2 years. That makes healthy
eating a little harder for some people.

Meanwhile junk food, sweets and snacks offers the
best price per 1,000 calories. BUT, there will be very little
nutrition in those types of foods.

Price is not the issue as I see it. It is about building good
health. Our food is our fuel, provides the building blocks for
our tissues, organs, bones, teeth and so on. Skip nutritious
food and you are setting yourself up for poor health, teeth
with cavities, etc.

And don’t get me started on women who eat a junk food diet
and are pregnant. How can they help their baby to develop
into a strong and healthy baby when the baby has no good
nutrition to draw on. It is a crying shame!

Now I won’t say that I don’t eat any junk food. I do, but I make
sure to have a lot of good healthy food, lots of vegetables, some
fruit and a super food powder drink for the extra nutrition it
gives me.

You have to work at it, if you want good health now and in the
future. Otherwise the prevailing marketing for junk will lead you
down the wrong path.

There is no way around it. Make healthy eating a priority, choosing
the highest quality food you can. Then add an occasional goody in
if you want.

Eating Healthy

Eating Healthy

A number of people usually turn to fast food when
they don’t have time in their busy schedule to eat
a normal healthy meal for dinner or can’t seem to get
away from their office desk for more than a few minutes
for lunch.

Eating healthy will build health, eating fast food is
not good for your health. If you want to cut down on
fast food you will usually have to focus on planning
your meals.

You do this by allocating more time for thinking about
and preparing meals. In order to cut down your fast food,
plan your meals out, this way you can purchase the necessary
ingredients for your meals a few days in advance, instead of
traveling to the supermarket each day.

Try to plan out a few meals each week that you can take with
you. Perhaps you can cook an extra large meal and take part
of it the next day for your lunch.

You can also try to bring in a bag lunch to work a few times
a week as well. By planning your meals, choosing to eat
healthier meals than those found in fast food restaurants
and *watching the size of your portions*, you can easily lose
weight, eat healthier and improve your overall healthy lifestyle
all by eating healthy.

Eating Healthy

Eating Healthy

As you know,if you are into building your health and
preventing disease, plenty of vegetables are a must.

And yet, it is so hard for some people to eat a better
diet. Some of what is put in junk food today is used for
flavor enhancement and is addictive. Sure it tastes good,
but it won’t do much for you except lower your nutrition
intake and put on the weight and excess fluids to buffer
the salt and chemicals.

It concerns me that so many people in the US, especially
children, are not getting the nutrition they need through
eating the best diet that they possibly can. Why? Because
they let their tastebuds rule. They have equated good
feelings with sweets, wrong kinds of fats and lots of
carbohydrates. Eating healthy is not a priority at all.

I hope the article wakes some people up that they are in the
driver’s seat. It is often what you tell yourself and the
pictures you put in your head that will give you the impetuous
to stay on the right track.

Even I have to remind myself ot this at times, so I hope the
article encourages you as well. Click here to read this Healthy Eating article.
